Jen Eatherly

Hi Mamas!

I’m Jen and I’m so excited to have the privilege of supporting you in this transformative time of your life. I have my Master’s Degree in Social Work from Columbia University and have spent the past few years working with foster youth as well as families and children experiencing trauma. After having my own son in 2020 and venturing into new motherhood during the pandemic, I became passionate about how we can best support new parents! I wanted to combine my mental health background with a focus on the postpartum period which led me to become a DONA certified labor and postpartum doula in 2021. I also cherish capturing new babies & families in those first few weeks behind the camera lens and would love to be able to provide you with the gift of lifestyle photography. Beyond the Doula world, I love spending all day outdoors chasing my toddler, going to concerts and breweries, and enjoying the Colorado sunshine on hikes!

Darling Mamas,

First of all, thank you so much for taking the time to visit our little corner of the internet. I’m Julie (or Jules!) and I want to commend you for exploring the possibility of sharing your birth and postpartum journey with a doula. I truly believe that this time in your life will impact your mind, body and spirit for the rest of your life!

After graduating college with a degree in Public Relations and Advertising, I began a career in social media and digital marketing in NYC. I quickly learned how powerful it can be to form a community of like-minded people, and how social media (when used in a positive way) can connect us in truly meaningful ways. While I loved how fast-paced and dynamic that field of work was, something began to stir deep inside of me when I became a mama. After suffering from PPA after having my second baby a month before the pandemic began, I knew it was time to make a change. I completed my DONA labor/birth and postpartum doula certification in 2021 and have loved every minute of this new career (or as I like to say ‘passion’) path ever since. In my free time (but really what mama actually has free time? haha!) I love exploring National Parks, ordering flights at breweries because I can never pick just ONE, working on photography and art projects, and snuggling my ‘first born’—my terrier mix named Bleecker.
